Who is the adventurer behind The Adventurer's Lens?

Hello friends! Thanks for joining me!

 

My name is Elle! I've always called Utah my home base, but I've left pieces of my heart all over the world. My love for travel started from a young age and continued all the way through high school, but my true passion for it was sparked during my college study abroad program. I lived in Florence, Italy for an entire school year and I learned endless amounts about the Italian culture, language, art, cuisine, and people. I visited 13 countries and countless cities during my year abroad, and I realized that travel was something that I could not live without. Through it all, my camera rarely left my side. I discovered that exploring the world through a lens fueled my soul, and I wanted that engine to run forever. In fact, I wanted to share that love for travel with others, and inspire wanderlust in whomever I could!

And thus, The Adventurer's Lens was born!

I believe that we as humans have a responsibility to give back and take care of the planet that’s sustaining us!

My Philanthropy

I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for animals. In my opinion, they are the purest beings on Earth and we humans have a lot to learn from them. All animals deserve respect and protection, whether it be a golden retriever in a suburban household, an elephant roaming the plains of Africa, or a raccoon stealing someone’s lunch in the park. Wildlife and animal photography is a powerful tool to emphasize the contributions of each species to our planet, and I intend to use my photography to advocate for the protection and conservation of animals across the globe.

My Purpose

With my photography, I aim to highlight the beauty of wildlife, nature, and travel while also educating (and becoming more educated myself) about environmentalism, wildlife conservation, and sustainable travel and living.

Fun Facts

  1. I’m 23 years old.

  2. I’m a dual citizen (American and Canadian).

  3. I flew on my first flight when I was just 5 months old!

  4. I collect postcards and pins from all my travels.

  5. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day.

  6. I majored in Sports Medicine in college and wanted to become a physical therapist!

  7. I’ve beaten everyone I’ve ever played at Mario Kart Wii.

  8. My favorite flavor of ice cream is mint chocolate chip!

  9. I have a French Bulldog named Milo! His Instagram is @malibumilo.

  10. I can only speak English fluently, but I’m proficient in both Spanish and Italian.
